Paper Club is a seasonal love letter that arrives monthly in your mailbox, a chronicle of thoughts about nature, symbolism, and creativity. As I make unique batches of handmade paper each month, I write about my inspirations and thoughts and share them with you, along with a selection of paper from my studio for you to use in all of your creative endeavors.
For me, making paper is an opportunity to immerse myself in a color or texture as I work with a batch of wet pulp. I love the cyclical nature of the process, the adding and removal of water, the simplicity of the actions and materials. The process forces me to slow down, to take time to reflect on the moment and the season I find myself in. It helps me ground myself and accept my place in the great web of nature.
Creating new papers for paper club each month encourages me to experiment and explore what is possible in the vast world of papermaking, to push my limits and try new things. I love creating surprises for you to unwrap every month.
