Elkins Public Art
1. Train Tracks Through Time | 2026
This piece was inspired by the intertwined histories of the local forest, the railroad, and the community that grew up around and between the two. The tapestries move through time, telling the story of an old growth forest, which was irresponsibly over-harvested in the early 1900’s, and has now been revitalized and is home to a hotspot of biodiversity and natural beauty.

2. Patchwork Sky: a Department of Daydreams project | 2026
Patchwork Sky is made of a mix of handwoven and hand-crocheted paracord and colorful deep-sea fishing line. Take a moment to look up and notice the sky through the open patches in the art piece. Then look around and notice the shadows this piece of fiber art creates. What does it remind you of? How does it impact your mood?

3. Recomposition Piano | 2025
This piano was a collaborative art piece created by myself, Rosalie Haizlett, Willa McWhorter, and Domenica Queen. After the end of our group show, Recomposition, we donated the piano for the public to enjoy in downtown Elkins.

4. A Friendship Quilt for Elkins | 2024
This is a community public art project that I designed with the help of Emily Prentice, Aira Burkhart, and Tim Huguenin. Each triangle was painted by participants from the public. These triangles are arranged into quilt block patterns, inspired by the tradition of friendship quilts.

Tygart Hotel | 206 Davis Ave6. Tygart Hotel Projects | 2023 - 2025
Three pieces of my work are on display at The Tygart Hotel. The Home Team (2023) is inspired by the lost towns of the Mon Forest, and can be seen on the first floor. First Flight (2025) is based on Louise McNeill’s poem of the same name and can be found in the Louise Mcneill Conference Room on the 2nd floor. 7. Funky Clementine | 2024
I painted this mural at the request of Clementine’s Cantina. They wanted clementines portrayed in different styles by local artists all over the restaurant. Keep an eye out for other murals by Willa McWhorter, Kevin Woodcock, and Brad Basil, as well as artistic coloring sheets by Emily Prentice!
