By cultivating an intimate relationship between my creative process and the landscape, I hope to work toward a sense of reciprocity and healing between humans and nature in Appalachia. My work is deeply tied to my home landscape of the Monongahela National Forest. I often create work on location—by the river or in the mountains—and incorporate foraged materials that I find there.
