Seasons Come And Go, But The River Always Flows
Private commission | 2026
This tapestry was commissioned to celebrate a client’s wedding anniversary. The shifting colors in the tapestry represent the seasons of life, and the river shape is based on the river where the couple lives.
First Flight
Tygart Hotel | Elkins, WV | 2025
This piece was created for the Louise McNeill Conference Room in the Tygart Hotel, and was inspired by Louise McNeill’s poem, First Flight.
Textured Triptych
Private commission | 2024
I created this series of three tapestries for a client’s dream home that had just been finished being built. She wanted to bring nature-inspired textures and flow into her home with this grounding neutral-toned piece with pops of warm colors.
The Home Team
Tygart Hotel | Elkins, WV | 2023
This piece was created for the Tygart Hotel lobby, inspired by the hotel’s theme of lost towns of the Monongahela National Forest, and the casual baseball league that was pillar of the area’s local culture in the 1910’s.
The River Sings To Me
Temporary installation at Taylor Books | Charleston, WV | 2023
I made this piece by collecting soft rocks from riverbanks and grinding them slowly by hand to make a water-based pigment that I painted onto the wall, brushstroke by brushstroke. The effect was a huge visual plane that reminded me of both the flow of the river and the calm solidity of the earth.
